The exciting and evolving field of digital media technology (DMT) is a blend of technology
(the how) and content (the what). From recording and editing to motion graphics, if
you enjoy working with technology and helping create amazing content, this could be
the career path for you.
Students in this program learn techniques for both print and web to reach a wide range
of people including clients and perspective employers. They also gain knowledge of
how to take projects from conception to launch. At Terra State, our DMT students are
creative, computer savvy, artistic, inspired, enterprising, resourceful and self-starters.

Web Designer/Developer
Web developers design and create websites. They are responsible for the look of the

and capacity, which are measures of a website’s speed and how much traffic the site
can handle. In addition, web developers may create content for the site.
The median annual wage for web developers was $67,990 in May 2017.
Employment of web developers is projected to grow 15 percent from 2016 to 2026, much
faster than the average for all occupations. Demand will be driven by the growing
popularity of mobile devices and ecommerce.

movies, video games, and other forms of media.
The median annual wage for multimedia artists and animators was $70,530 in May 2017.
Employment of multimedia artists and animators is projected to grow 8 percent from
