Thank you for your service! You have served your country honorably and now it is our time to serve you and help you reach your educational goals.

Terra State Community College has provided educational opportunities to Veterans, active duty personnel, military dependents and survivors since its founding in 1968. In addition to assistance with educational benefits, we accept military training credit and provide numerous support services and recognition activities for our Veteran students.

Veteran Support Services

Veterans make up a valuable part of Terra State's student body and we offer a variety of benefits to our Veteran students. We have priority registration for Veterans (this allows you to register before the general public to ensure you get the classes you need before they fill), and provide a study lounge specifically for Veterans located on the first floor of Roy Klay Hall.

We partner with OhioMeansJob to provide additional services, accept Academic Council on Education (ACE) military transcripts, and we are a member of the Service Opportunity Consortium (SOC). We also recognize our Veteran employees and students on Veterans Day with a special event.

Please note all military, National Guard personnel, and Reservists are recognized in the same manner.

We want to help you achieve your educational goals and are proud to offer a variety of services including, but not limited to:

  • Academic advising
  • Assistance with your GI Bill
  • Apprenticeship and certificate programs
  • Assistance with the financial aid process
  • Career planning
  • Distance learning opportunities
  • Financial literacy
  • Intervention
  • Legal advice
