ServSafe and TIPS training and certification in Ohio
ServSafe certification is required by many employers and the Ohio Department of Health
in Ohio while TIPS certification is mandated by many establishments to purchase liquor
liability insurance. Additionally, certification can help restaurant and hospitality
workers to be more attractive job candidates, create safer work environments, and
avoid potential liabilities.
The ServSafe program is managed by the National Restaurant Association (NRA) and focuses on on-premise settings. TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) is managed by 360training and focuses on preventing intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving.
