High School & GED Transcripts
Terra State requires an official final high school or GED transcript be submitted upon admission or readmission.
All applicants must request an official transcript and provide this official transcript to the Terra State Admissions Office before registering for classes. Contact your high school or your state's Department of Education (for GED graduates). Home-schooled and international students are required to submit documentation meeting specifications provided.
Official Transcript Definitions
Official Final High School Transcripts must:
- Include high school name (and location for out-of-state)
- Include graduation month and year
- Include student name and address (or another identifier such as birth date, maiden name)
- Include an official administrator's signature and/or school seal (official stamp or embossed seal)
- For 2012 Ohio public school graduates and beyond, include the K-12 state student identification number
- Be received directly by mail from the granting institution (preferred), or through the state's electronic transcript transfer system, or hand delivered in an unopened sealed institution envelope
Official Final GED Transcripts must:
- Be requested from the state's Department of Education - a GED diploma with or without scores will not be accepted
- Be received directly by mail from the Department of Education (preferred), or hand delivered in an unopened sealed Department of Education envelope
Official Home-School Documents must:
- Include four years of high school curriculum (or semesters student received home schooling, including senior year)
- Include final grades per course
- Include graduation month and year
- Include student name and address
- Include a home school official's signature
For students graduating from high school outside of the United States, transcripts with special circumstances may be approved by the Director of Admissions.
If you are submitting an official final high school or GED transcript listed under a maiden name, we encourage you to email us at admissions@terra.edu in advance to ensure your transcript is properly matched with your College record.
The office of student financial aid may hold processing of financial aid until the official transcript is received.
