Terra State Marketing Department wins NCMPR national award

The Terra State Community College Marketing Department was recognized for outstanding marketing efforts at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 3 conference held October 3-5 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The College received a bronze Medallion Award for the brochure category for their Admissions ‘Create Your Future’ search piece.

NCMPR’s Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges. Awards are presented to institutions in 52 categories at each of the seven NCMPR district conferences and are the only awards that honor excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.

This award marks the fifth NCMPR award in three years for the College, winning three Medallion awards in 2018 and a silver Paragon Award at the national level earlier this year.

“Seeing our small department continue to win awards at both the district and national level is a great feeling,” said Mike Metzger, marketing manager. “Larger schools are doing some amazing things, and to be recognized next to them is always an honor. Our team continues to work hard and tries to make a lasting impression on others with everything we do. This College may be the best-kept secret in a cornfield, and we want everyone in the community to not only know we are here, but also be aware of the great options we have for them right down the street.”

NCMPR is a professional organization for individuals involved in marketing, communications, public relations and enrollment management at community, junior and technical colleges.  As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR has more than 1700 members from nearly 650 colleges across the United States and Canada.
