Fall Classes at Terra State Offer an Opportunity to Pursue a Degree for a Career That Lets You Be You

remont, Ohio, July 24, 2023 – Terra State Community College is now enrolling students for the fall semester. Classes begin Monday, August 21 and offer area residents the opportunity to achieve their career goals through college classes or job training conducted on the school’s campus, or online.
There are many advantages to taking fall classes at a community college nearby. For example, saving money with lower tuition rates and completing coursework to transfer to a four-year university are some of top reasons for enrolling at Terra State, according to the school’s admissions team.
“Students often first look to Terra State because of the school’s many excellent course programs, like nursing and health sciences, computer information systems, manufacturing engineering, and business, and even arts programs like music,” said Jessica McCarthy, Dean of Enrollment Services at Terra State. “Terra is also unique as a community college because of our on-campus housing option at The Landings residence hall plus a wide range of athletics programs that allow students to continue playing sports at the college level while they pursue an associate’s degree, prepare to transfer to a four-year university, or earn a certificate in a skilled trades program.”
For those who work in the skilled trades and need to keep up with training, special courses, or certifications to advance their career, the fall class at Terra might provide the ideal opportunity for employees and employers to make arrangements and commit to seeing all parties achieve their goals, according to William Taylor, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Terra State.
“Terra State has an excellent rapport with our area companies and business leaders who want to support their team members’ efforts to advance their skills and certifications – and fall evening or weekend classes are a great way to take those steps,” Taylor said.
