Terra State Community College Showcases Innovation in Automation and Robotics Training During Visit from Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur

erra State Community College proudly welcomed Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur for an insightful visit to explore the institution's commitment to serving regional industry partners through cutting-edge short-term and long-term training solutions. The focus of the visit centered on Terra State's ongoing efforts to elevate its Automation and Robotics program, a venture supported in part by the congressional adds championed by Congresswoman Kaptur.
Terra State is thrilled to express gratitude for Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur's unwavering support as the College expands its offerings to include a Robotics Operator Certificate. This short-term certificate pathway is designed to propel individuals into rewarding careers in advanced manufacturing within just one semester, addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals in this dynamic field
The College is also proud to announce the forthcoming addition of a certificate program in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), further enhancing the breadth of its Industry 4.0 Training program. The expansion initiative aligns with current and future industry needs, ensuring that Terra State remains at the forefront of delivering relevant and impactful training solutions. This involves expanding FANUC robotics training to align with FANUC Industry Recognized Credentials and NOCTI Third-Party Certifications and continued expansion of Rockwell Allen-Bradley Certifications.
Notably, Terra State is collaborating with ARCTOS Technology Solutions on the prestigious AFRL (Air Force Research Lab) project, Regional Certification and Training Labs (Prime Contract: FA8650-16-D-5524). This partnership extends to the follow-on project, Smart Manufacturing Digital Thread (OAI-SMDTH-24844), exemplifying Terra State's dedication to fostering innovation in collaboration with key industry players.
